Sisyrinchium (blue-eyed-grass)
Sisyrinchium is also known as blue-eyed grass, but it is not a grass at all. It is a clump-forming perennial in the iris family. It's grasslike leaves bloom at the tips in spring with small, true-blue star-shaped flowers. It is lovely in groups, which are easy to achieve if you split the clumps that form or wait for the plant to self-seed (which it will!). If you have one plant, you will soon have many, but they are welcome wherever they appear.
