MISCANTHUS sinensis 'Silver Arrow'

Good tall landscape plant that climbs to over 6 feet. It makes lovely clumps of green and white striped tall grass with tall plumes. It sends up a 'flower' that turns golden brown in the fall/winter and dries nicely as a landscape plant in the winter. Cut it all down to the ground in early spring.

RUDBECKIA 'Goldsturm' (Black-eyed Susans)

Tall yellow flowers with deep brown center. Seems to bloom forever once it gets started. Grows in average soil in partial shade to full sun. Virtually pest-free.

ECHINACEA (Purple Coneflower)

Tall, long-lasting blossoms on sturdy stems. Lasts a long time in bouquets. Good in average soil or hot, dry conditions. Interesting seed heads that feed finches in winter or will dry nicely if cut. This plant will self-seed if you don't deadhead it in the fall. Attracts butterflies. A must-have perennial.

MONARDA didyma 'Cambridge Scarlet' (Bee Balm)

Tall, red, spicy-scented blossoms with aromatic foliage. Spreads quickly in good soil with full sun, but is more controlled in a shadier location. Appreciates good air circulation to avoid mildew (which is harmless, but unsightly).
