Let me introduce myself:
I am a true amateur gardener; that is, I love to work in the dirt. It is my hobby, my passion, my obsession, and my therapy. In New England we have a short growing season, but thoughts of the garden help to see me through the long winters!
As a retiree, I'm having to learn about moderation! (Which is really too bad, since there is so much to do!) Hours in the garden still bring me joy, but they also result in aches and pains that I had previously managed to elude when I still had to stop from time to time and go to town to work! I'm learning to take small bites...
This is my husband's favorite picture of me, taken during one of our many 'nature walks' to appreciate other fine gardens!
A view of the garden in June from our back deck. It is largely unchanged from this old photo--there's just more of everything!
